The Champion Sports breakaway base set is great for any team that's in need of breakaway bases to reduce the possibilities of players getting injured while sliding to a base. The entire pad of the double first base dislodges, unlike other double bases that have a fixed first base next to a dislodging base that could cause injuries from the dislodging base getting stuck. A low profile plate remains underneath so that play may continue.
