The All-Star Special Edition Martin Maldonado Pro Elite Catchers Mitt is an iconic mitt that is used in professional baseball. This design and size was created in a collaboration with Martin Maldonado to create the perfect sized mitt for any professional catcher. The reason for the 1/2" increase in size compared to the smallest sized mitt offered (33.5") is that Martin Maldonado and several other All-Star Focus Team players who normally choose the smaller sized mitt believe that  since pitchers are trying to throw faster and with more movement, catchers need a little more room in their mitt in order to receive the ball with confidence, but jumping to the larger size (35") is too much of a jump in size.
