Arena-level systems like the Hurricane provide maximum safe play area (often 8 feet or more of clearance), while more compact units like the Fury or Rampage require less footprint (around 4 to 5 feet). Always measure the distance from your baseline to your gymnasium wall before selecting a system.
3. Will the folded system fit through our facility's standard double doors for storage?
Most commercial portable hoops are engineered to fold down into a compact storage position designed to roll through standard 78-inch high double doors. However, because units like the Storm and Thunder are heavy-duty, you must carefully check the specific folded dimensions of the model against your facility’s doorways, hallways, and storage room measurements.
4. Will the heavy base and wheels damage our hardwood gym floor?

For authentic arena play, tempered glass (found on our Triumph, Arena, and Nitro models) is the standard. It provides the truest ball rebound and is required for high school and college competition. Acrylic backboards (found on our Supreme, Select, and III models) are highly durable, lighter, and shatter-resistant, making them an excellent choice for recreational facilities, middle schools, or multi-purpose gyms where elite rebound performance is secondary to durability.
6. Are the rim heights adjustable for youth basketball leagues and camps?
Yes. Many of our portable systems, such as the Fury Select, feature easy-to-use height adjustment mechanisms. Using a spring-assisted crank or pin system, facility staff can easily lower the rim from the regulation 10-foot height down to 8 or 9 feet to accommodate youth basketball programs, physical education classes, and summer camps.
7. Do these heavy portable systems require floor anchors to prevent tipping?

This allows a single facility worker (or two) to safely and easily raise the system into the playing position and fold it down for storage in just a few minutes, minimizing facility downtime.

Systems like the Hurricane, Storm, and Thunder are designed primarily for indoor hardwood or synthetic sports floors. While they are incredibly durable, their casters and tempered glass setups are not strictly weather-proofed for long-term outdoor exposure. If you are hosting a temporary outdoor 3-on-3 tournament, they can be rolled outside onto a flat surface, but they should be stored indoors immediately after.
