If you have any experience using starting guns you know that the black powder ammo can foul up your revolver pretty quick. We get calls all the time from customers having issues with their guns because they are dirty. You need the right products to keep your starting gun clean and this is the only cleaning kit on the market put together specifically for starting guns.
That is why we came up with the Morley #9 Cleaning kit!
This kit includes everything you need to clean your .22 caliber and .32 caliber starting guns. One of the things that makes this kit different is that it includes Thompsons Black Powder cleaning solution. Used by muzzle loaders for years, this solution will make quick work of black powder fouling on your revolver.
Simply clean the starting gun with the includes brushes, swaps and solution and wipe it down. When you are finished your starting gun should be relatively dry. Leaving excess lubrication on your starting gun will create fouling very quickly when used with black powder shells. Because black powder is slow burning to create the smoke you need as a starter it will leave a residue and particles after firing that will stick to residual lubricant. So remember clean and then wipe down your starting gun so it's ready for the next use. When the season is over it is recommended that you use the included lubricant to coat your starting guns for long term storage. Just be sure to wipe it dry before using it next season.
